Bolts begin a back-to-back with a one-game road trip to South Florida to face the Panthers

After splitting a pair of games in Tampa earlier this season, the Lightning make their first trip of the season to South Florida on Thursday to face the Panthers.

Thursday's Matchup
The Lightning and the Panthers are playing their third of four meetings this season and the first of two at FLA Live Arena...Florida defeated Tampa Bay 4-1 in the first meeting Oct. 19 at AMALIE Arena, Brayden Point scoring the lone goal for the Lightning 2:36 into the third period to tie the game 1-1 before the Panthers reeled off three-straight goals to win...Tampa Bay earned a 3-2 overtime victory in the last meeting Nov. 13 at AMALIE Arena, Brayden Point netting the winner 2:13 into OT, that win ending a four-game reg. season losing skid for the Bolts to the Panthers...The Lightning went 1- 3-0 last season in Sunrise, the lone win a 6-1 rout Feb. 13, punctuated by a two-goal night by Tyler Johnson...Tampa Bay went 2-1 in Sunrise en route to a 4-2 First Round victory over Florida in the 2021 Playoffs, the first-ever series between the in-state rivals...The Bolts have played the Panthers more than any other NHL opponent, tonight the 149th regular season meeting between the two teams.
